Dear Arappalli C. Thank you for pointing me to the article. I will have a look at it, and come back to you with a suggestion for an implemenation in NeqSim. Even |

Dear EvenSol,
Presently studying an old field development where lot of centrifugal compressors (fixed speed machines) which were originally designed for higher mol weight natural gas while the field has leaned out considerably. While the operator see the limitation in actual capacity being handled, need to predict the realistic performance of these existing machines under new operating conditions.
I have come across your work in relation to Compressors through Neqsim. Especially interested in "Effect of molecular weight on performance of centrifugal compressors" or in general in the impact of revised process conditions to the existing compressor performance. It is typically needs OEM (original equipment manufacturer) to provide the revised curves based on dimensionless curves (flow coefficient Vs head coefficient) but it is not easy during the study phase. Just wondering if this can be done through your work for Neqsim. I have attached an article which provides some insights on the dimensionless curve concept for your thoughts.

Appreciate your time.
