Metadata Mapping

I found out about hasheous via Romm. Romm can pull meta data from IGDB, Screenscraper, Mobygames, RetroAchievements, Launchbox and SteamGridDB

It would be nice if hasheous also supported Screenscraper, Mobygames and Launchbox

Hi @andcbii; thank you for your request. I already have most of those on the horizon. To make tracking these easier, I've just created the following issue: #228

I'm currently letting Hasheous stabilise (since it's relatively new), fixing performance issues, resolving any bugs, and addressing data errors as they're reported. I'll get back to feature requests sometime in the next couple of weeks.

We currently have mapping fields available for:

• Epic Games - manual
• GOG.com - manual
• Giant Bomb - automatic metadata mapping is functioning and proxying in progress - their API limits are insanely restrictive so it's taking time to cache the entire DB
• IGDB - automatic metadata mapping and full proxying available
• RetroAchievements - this is currently limited to their hash database - I am happy to proxy more, but some require the use of a users private key, which at the moment I'm not comfortable with handling
• Steam - manual
• SteamGridDB - currently manual, but on my radar
• Wikipedia - manual, but if IGDB has a link in it's database to Wikipedia, it will auto fill

Feeds I want to incorporate:

• Launchbox - I've been doing some basic research on this database, and it should be reasonably easy to incorporate both matching and proxying - this is the next feed I want to look at
• Screenscraper - this is the big one I want to add because of it's support for multiple languages. It will likely be the next cab off the rank once I'm done with Launchbox
• SteamGridDB - Will likely be just matching rather than proxying (or will be proxy on demand)
• Mobygames - This may not happen. Their pricing is a bit insane, and I'm not entirely sure their API access requirements are compatible with Hasheous. I have sent a few emails to them to ask, but have yet to hear back (and I'm not exactly hopeful they will reply).
