2025-07-30: New USB Port Mapping Method

  • Updated OpenCore to version 1.0.6 (Nightly)
  • Updated Drivers and Kexts
  • ACPI:
    • Added SSDT-XHUB.aml → Defines a new USB Root Hub for macOS, containing only needed USB Ports. The XHUB method is a much cleaner and faster approach since it does not require dropping and replacing the original USB port SSDT.
    • Deleted SSDT-PORTS.aml → no longer required
    • Disabled drop rule for OEM SSDT xh_cmsd4 → No longer needed

Important

  • In macOS Tahoe beta 2+, Polaris GPUs work again. Disable WhateverGreen during install – otherwise the installer crashes. Re-enable WEG afterwards.
  • AppleHDA has been removed from Tahoe beta 2. → Follow this guide to enable it again.
