Parts cooler fan adjustment

Not sure if I’m the issue or not but having a hard time turning off the part cooling fan on first layer and I can’t find it in the firmware, I wanna know what it’s set to. Thanks in advance!

@huntingforever22-cyber I was looking through the code and I can see that PC6 is the parts fan, or FAN0. I can't seem to find anything in the configs that sets this in the firmware. What slicer are you using? Normally there is a way in there to set fan levels for layers.

Orca slicer I do have the setting turned on for fan stays off for x amount of layers but did a test print and it’s still on. Could it be a gcode thing for m106? And I use prusaslicer too I forgot to add that

It is possible. I am still looking into it. You have to bear with me since I don't have this printer anymore, so my hands are tied when it comes to testing. Let me see what else I can find.

I have been looking and I can't find anything. The only thing I can think to do to test is run some GCODE as a job. You should be able to tell the fan to spin up, wait, spin down, etc. I am not sure if that m106 is the right thing. I did see some people online talking about how this might not be fixable, but I am not sure how true that is

Okay sounds good I’ll do some digging on my slicer and I’ll see what gcodes I can use. That I’m still new to but I’ll give updates. Thank you for your help and doing research on it

Okay I have found out that’s it’s the firmware, this other firmware is not the right firmware because it’s not meant for the sprite extruder but when I start a print, I’m able to adjust the fan speed and it fallows the slicer settings to and has the fan icon on the top right. On your firmware I’m not able to do any adjustments and doesn’t follow the slicer and on the screen it’s self I noticed on the top right there is no fan icon and on the settings I am able to adjust for the fan it’s for control fan 2 which turns on the fan for the board. I know you don’t have that printer anymore but I’m wondering if you’re able to see if a few things can be changed and hopefully getting it to work. Thank you in advance

So I have been looking over the code and I can't seem to find where I set temps for anything. It's weird that another firmware works, which makes me think that the M106 might be going to something else and I have this firmware pinned out wrong. Honestly I had only been 3D printing for a few weeks before I took the plunge into changing out the hotend.

No worries thanks again for looking, I’ll keep trying stuff and maybe I might be able to see if I can find something to add to the firmware but I have no clue how to do that lmao
