Should we commit the pixi.lock file?

Before we can do it the problem with the setuptools_scm-style versioning needs to be fixed but in the meantime I'm opening this issue to keep track of failures in main that would have been avoided by having the lock file commited.

UPDATE: I confirm passing from 1.0.0 to 1.1.0 is breaking the tests
