Illegal instruction on MacOS M1

I am trying to use Scaden. I installed using pip and try to run the example with the command scaden example and the message I am getting is: illegal instruction: 4. I am on a MacOS M1 Ventura 13 and Python 3.6. Does anyone have an idea what is wrong?

I'm sorry I havent ever tested it on Apple Silicon, and I don't have access to a Mac. So no way of helping you there :/

Not sure this is still of any help but I recently installed Scaden on my MacOS M3. When I run conda config --show subdir the output is subdir: osx-arm64.

I was originally getting the following error:

pip install scaden

Error: The TensorFlow library was compiled to use AVX instructions, but these aren't available on your machine.
zsh: abort      scaden process --help

I followed this tutorial (https://medium.com/@lorenzozar/how-to-install-rosetta-on-mac-53c74391d2f5_ to install Miniforge3 with the modified RC file to make it my default base. I added the following code to ~/.zshrc. This allows you to specify the type of conda environment you want to create.

# Create x86 conda environment
create_x86_conda_environment () {

  # example usage: create_x86_conda_environment myenv_x86 python=3.9
  CONDA_SUBDIR=osx-64 conda create -n $@
  conda activate $1

}

# Create ARM conda environment
create_ARM_conda_environment () {

  # example usage: create_ARM_conda_environment myenv_x86 python=3.9
  CONDA_SUBDIR=osx-arm64 conda create -n $@
  conda activate $1

}

I ran

create_x86_conda_environment scadenEnvX86 python=3.8

pip install scaden==1.1.2

There were conflicts with numpy and pandas when running scaden commands, but this may depend on your python version and other dependencies. I've attached my environment requirements.txt if it's of any help.
