[FEATURE] - Provide an API to directly call and save project

At present, I have developed a plugin for creating C++projects. I want to use the import function of my plugin to automatically save the selected projects to the project manager's list after connecting remotely through remote ssh or wsl. Currently, I cannot obtain the projects.json file locally and write data to it on the remote service

This could be achieved if the extension provides an API. I’m planning return to this idea in upcoming releases, so stay tuned.
