Remove src/codeflash_core — this will be continued in a new repo.

Remove the unused codeflash_core package and clean up the sdist include in pyproject.toml.

PR Review Summary

Triage

LARGE PR — 2,905 lines deleted across 26 files (entire src/codeflash_core package removal + pyproject.toml update).

Prek Checks

No linting issues — all changed files are deletions, nothing to lint.

Code Review

No issues found.

  • No remaining references to codeflash_core anywhere in the codeflash/ package or the broader repo.
  • pyproject.toml correctly removes src/codeflash_core from [tool.hatch.build.targets.sdist] include list (pyproject.toml:104). No other references to codeflash_core remain in the file.
  • The deletion is clean — no dangling imports or broken dependencies.

Duplicate Detection

Not applicable — this PR only deletes code.

Test Coverage

Not applicable — this PR only deletes code.

Optimization PRs

Three open PRs from codeflash-ai[bot] (all targeting PR #1887's branch) have widespread CI failures (unit-tests, JS tests, tracer-replay). The same pattern of failures appears across all three PRs, suggesting these are pre-existing failures on the base branch, not caused by these PRs. Leaving open until base branch CI is stabilized.
