Describe your idea
I've been using your IPv4 Subnet Calculator and noticed that while it displays the start address (first usable), end address (last usable), and broadcast address, it doesn't explicitly show the network address (subnet ID).
While experienced network administrators may infer the network address, explicitly displaying it would:
- Provide a complete picture of the subnet boundaries
- Serve as an educational element for those learning networking concepts
- Reduce potential confusion between the "Start" address (first usable) and the actual network address
- Create symmetry in the display (showing both "boundaries" of the subnet - network address and broadcast address)
Add a new field labeled "Network:" next to or above the existing "Start" field, showing the calculated network address of the subnet.
This minor UI addition would make your already useful tool even more comprehensive while maintaining its clean, straightforward interface.
Thank you for considering this suggestion and for your work on this valuable open-source tool.
PS: Also Den I also wanted to let you know that I happened to see that your (OpenPGP) email public key (available on your site) expired on 03/09/2022 ;)
