Feature Description

useful to find fork repos by a common root commit

probably this will use a significant amount of extra disk space for the repo indexer
so this should be optional (default off?)

works on github: search and result

fails with gitea: search and expected result

The previous implementation searched within a repository, allowing us to query directly from the Git data. To support this feature, we would need to synchronize all commit metadata into a database or an indexing engine.
