Tracking issue -- to work with any peer, we'll need

• Support for the full range of EAD numbers (already in the API)
• Support for multiple EAD items (API change)
• Optionally, support EADs through slices (avoiding the need for per-EAD-item buffer, which, worse, are currently message sized)
