This appears reproducible and should be handled as a framework-level issue. The best immediate path is to keep production on the last known stable behavior, provide a minimal repro with exact versions, and validate the fix against that repro before rollout. That gives a clear route to resolution without introducing additional risk.

After digging into the commit history, it looks like the /reference/adapters route belonged to the older documentation structure. There were multiple documentation restructures (e.g., moving and rewriting pages) followed by the migration to Auth.js, where the docs were moved to authjs.dev.

There are also commits explicitly mentioning fixing broken links and redirects, which suggests this route may have been removed or relocated during those changes, leaving behind a stale reference somewhere. At this point, I’m not able to find this route anymore in the current docs or codebase.
