The noxfile was broken on Intel macOS, since numba dropped support.
Now also reads the Python versions from the pyproject.toml classifiers; 3.14 was missing.
You can also run the noxfile from a PEP 723 runner, or even
./noxfile.pyon a system with uv installed.
